What is a musculoskeletal assessment?
A musculoskeletal assessment is derived from a specialised area of physiotherapy which treats injuries to the muscles, joints and soft tissues. These include: muscle strains, ligament sprains, cartilage tears, arthritis, pre, post-operative and fracture rehabilitation, and back pain. The assessment, using a variety of tests and questionnaires, will aim to help you to set goals and develop an appropriate treatment plan.
How will you decide on a treatment plan?
The treatments that your experienced physiotherapist selects will be based on the initial findings of the musculoskeletal assessment in your first appointment. We’ll develop a holistic, personalised plan that will aim to speed up effective healing, increase your strength and flexibility, restore your range of movement, decrease pain and discomfort, and bring down inflammation.
