Basketball
Chartered Physiotherapy in Blackpool, St. Annes, Lytham, Poulton, Cleveleys and FleetwoodBasketball is a fast-moving, full-body sport that can cause a wide range of injuries across the body. According to a recent study, around 22% of professional basketball players receive an injury over the course of a year. Of those injuries, 42% are to the ankle or foot (including common ankle sprains), 11% are hip and thigh, and 9% were to the knee (including patellofemoral pain or acute knee trauma). Approximately 60% of injuries occur during training, showing the need for a good warm up and supportive strapping.
